Thailand is not only the best place for traveling but also for living. As Bangkok is one of the largest city in Asia, there are many good places for long stay. If you plan to move into Bangkok for at least 1 month, I recommend 5 attractive places
1. SIAM: Mega Shopping town
Siam is one of the most popular places for both local and foreigners. You can be easy to access to a lot of big shopping malls like Siam Paragon, Central World and Siam square. Many local food restaurants, pubs and designer brand shops. As also Chula longkorn University which is most well-known in Thailand is closed to Siam Area, you can easily see many Thai youngs. So this area is very energetic and active. It's very easy to get all kinds of food
It is located following BTS line from Chitlom - Siam - Rachamari. There are many range of Condo price from about 300 USD to 1000 USD per month for single room with 1 restroom. it's good location with easy to access BTS line. However it's quite crowded everyday and bad traffic jam as well.

2. Onnut: Half local Half Foreigner
Onnut is 50% local + 50% Foreigner area. If you are still a bit scared to stay in 100% real local area, Onnut might be the alternative option to experience local Thai. Many Thai people have been living in Onnut areas in longtime because it's closed to down town Shukumvit area near BTS Asok. It's just from 5 Bts station from Asok and Onnut has a big shopping mall, big mart and local food market as well. Therefore you will not have any big problem for long stay, although you do not go out from Onnut.
It is located from just 10mins from Asok downtown by BTS. You can easily get very cheap and fresh local food and it's chance to experience what Thai local life is. it is still very safe environment and there are many condos and local houses. The bad thing is super crowded in everywhere and very bad traffic jam.

3. RCA : Club and Night life
If You love club and night life, RCA is the best place that you have to stay. when you traveled in Bangkok for the first time, you might visited at clubs in Khaosan road. If you are boring them, why not go to club in RCA. Onyx and Route 66 is one of the most popular clubs in a whole country. Young Thai and forein clubber love to enjoy there at every weekend
RCA is the name of small area. Around there it's easy to find some condominiums. You can rent the room with price around 450 USD per month for 1 single room with 1 restroom. What disadvantage of RCA is inconvenient transportation. No Bts and No Mrt. The closest station is MRT Petchaburi, but you have to transfer to Motobike taxi from there. it's quite far so you cannot reach there on walk. and RCA is not the residential area so grabbing food and buying daily supplies is also hard.

4. Thonglor : Modern luxury area
if You love the luxury and modern life style, I highly recommend you to stay in Thonglor area. Many luxury condominiums, restaurants, cafes, clubs and pubs. I guarantee that you can eat same taste with the western food that you have been eating in your country at Thonglor area and also night life in thonglor is amazing. Demos and Punky villa is the most famous club for Thai youngs and foreigners. as it's closed to Ekami where Japanese community is in, you can enjoy Japanese food like Susi and Ramen. Very safety, Very clean, quite luxury area!

5. Ari : Fashion and Trend
You are fashionable people, trendy, design- oriented? You should consider the ARI. Ari is super hot place recently. Many trendy cafes and clothes shop in the street. Therefore Thai University students love to hangout here. On every weekend, every shops and pubs cannot let customers come in. To check the what the Thai designs or Thai culture boom is, Just stand that street for 10 mins.
Ari is located near BTS Ari station which is between Siam BTS station and Victory monument station. It's not hard to access to down town Siam.
